LOOSE MUSE

Hi there,

Almost Christmas, and the year is winding down, but before we run out of 2006, there’s still Loose Muse to look forward to. 

 

Please note that there’s NO ANGEL POETRY IN DECEMBER, as Borders has cancelled the event due to lack of their staff…..aaaaaaaargh!! But the event kicks off in the New Year as usual, so watch this space for Angel Poetry news after the festive season.

 

And again, a reminder that if any of you want to buy a copy of the Poetry for Lebanon Book of Poetry, in which many of you have a poem, please do let me know.  There are still copies left, available for £5.00 + 75p p&p – send your cheques (made payable to MAP) to me c/o 1 Bridge Terrace, Stratford, London E15 4BG, and I’ll send you your very own volume by return.  There’s some really great stuff in the book….well worth a fiver, and a great Christmas present. .

 

On Wednesday 13^th December, there is the last LOOSE MUSE of the year, a  monthly event for women writers of all genres at 8.00-10.00 p.m @ The Poetry Café, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2 (Covent Garden tube) £5.00/£3.00 concs.  This month, we have the fantastic poet EBELE giving us excerpts of her new solo show “WomaniFunkHerDeliQa”, an extraordinary piece of work that crosses many, many boundaries, and may well have you looking at the concept of being a woman from a totally different perspective.   Also Special Guest Poet on the night is the wonderful PATRICIA FOSTER, sharing more of her gentle insights, and Caribbean humour.  A really good mixture of sex, words, and rock’n’roll.   And we’ll have an extra large sprinkling of open mike readings from the floor to share and explore work - sign up for open mike 7.30-8.00 p.m.
