Loose Muse (August 2006)

August's  LOOSE MUSE, a  monthly event for women writers of all genres, will be taking place on Wednesday, 9^th August, 8.00-10.00 p.m @ The Poetry Café, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2 (Covent Garden tube) £5.00/£3.00 concs. This month instead of the two usual featured women writers, we are having a special VOICE WORKSHOP.  So, whether you're a total newcomer to the poetry scene or a spoken word veteran, why not come along and check it out as it's a workshop to explore all aspects of voice control for performance.  

 

I will be one of the two workshop leaders, working with participants to write a new piece and then come to grips with the emotional content of their piece.  And I'm delighted to be working with talented actress Caroline Partridge, a skilled performer on both stage and screen, sharing the principles of voice techniques so you can get the best out of your work.
