Biographies:

Brian Chikwava:

Born in Bulawayo, Brian Chikwava grew up in Harare, where he attended university and was a regular at the heralded artistes' hangout The Book Café where he honed his craft at poetry evenings, discussions and music showcases. Still active as both a writer and musician, Brian came to prominence when he won the 2004 Caine Prize for African Writing for his short story Seventh Street Alchemy. He was a 2005 Charles Pick fellow at the University of East Anglia and is currently working on a novella and a music album.
